Wait -- it actually posts for me?
Yes. Claude has a feature called computer use. It can control your mouse and keyboard, open Chrome, navigate to websites, fill in forms, and click buttons -- anything you would do sitting at your desk.
When you tell it to post to your Google Business Profile, it literally opens Chrome, goes to business.google.com, clicks "Add update", types the post, and hits Publish. You watch it happen on your screen.
You can also set up scheduled tasks so it does this every Monday morning automatically. You wake up and your marketing is already done.
Setup Guide
Follow these steps exactly. Takes about 15 minutes.
Step 1: Sign up for Claude Pro
The plugin is free, but it runs inside Claude, which costs $20/month (the Pro plan).
- Go to claude.ai
- Click Sign up in the top right
- Create an account with your email
- After signing in, click Upgrade to Pro (it will be in the bottom left of the sidebar, or go to claude.ai/upgrade)
- Enter your card. $20/month, cancel anytime.
Already have Claude Pro? Skip to Step 2.
Step 2: Download the Claude Desktop App
The plugin only works in the desktop app (not the website).
- Go to claude.ai/download
- Download the app for your computer (Mac or Windows)
- Install it like any other app (drag to Applications on Mac, or run the installer on Windows)
- Open the Claude app and sign in with the same account from Step 1
Step 3: Open Cowork
Cowork is the part of Claude that can use your computer and run tasks on a schedule. You need to switch to it.
- In the Claude desktop app, look at the left sidebar
- You will see tabs like Chat, Code, and Cowork
- Click Cowork
- If this is your first time, it may say "Setting up Claude's workspace" -- wait a minute for it to finish
If you do not see "Cowork" in the sidebar, make sure you are on a Pro plan and using the latest version of the desktop app.
Step 4: Install the Plugin
Now you are going to add the Contractor Marketing plugin to Cowork.
- In Cowork, look at the bottom of the left sidebar
- Click the Plugins icon (it looks like a puzzle piece)
- Click Add plugin
- Choose "Install from GitHub"
- Paste this into the field:
blueprintstudioco/contractor-marketing - Click Install
- Wait for it to finish (takes about 30 seconds)
You only do this once. The plugin stays installed.
Step 5: Log Into Your Tools in Chrome
When the plugin posts content, it uses your Chrome browser. It needs you to already be logged in to your accounts. Open Chrome and make sure you are signed in to:
- ✓ Google Business Profile -- so it can post updates and respond to reviews
- ✓ Facebook Business -- so it can create ads and posts
- ✓ Google Search Console -- so it can pull your SEO data
- ✓ Google Analytics -- so it can read your traffic data
Do not have some of these set up yet? That is fine. The onboarding step will walk you through each one. Just log in to whatever you already have.
Step 6: Run Onboarding
Tell the plugin about your business. It asks 35 questions and saves your answers so every future command knows your company, service area, competitors, and tools.
- In Cowork, click New task (the "+" button at the top)
- In the text box at the bottom of the screen, type a forward slash:
/ - A menu will pop up showing available commands. Look for contractor-marketing and click onboard
- Or just type this in the text box and press Enter:
Set up my business profile for contractor marketing - Claude will ask you questions one at a time -- business name, phone, service area, competitors, etc.
- Answer each one. Takes about 5 minutes.
- When it is done, it saves your Business Profile. Every command after this uses it automatically.
Step 7: Set Up Scheduled Tasks (Optional)
This is the magic part. You can tell Claude to run marketing tasks on a schedule, automatically. Just type a sentence describing what you want and when.
In the Cowork text box, type any of these and press Enter:
Every Monday at 7am, write and publish a Google Business Profile post for my company Every Sunday evening, create a week of social media posts and schedule them Every Monday at 8am, give me a report on my website traffic and ad performance On the 25th of every month, create next month's content calendar with 4 blog posts On the 15th of every month, do a competitor analysis Claude will confirm the schedule and start running it automatically. You can see all your scheduled tasks by clicking Scheduled in the left sidebar.
Your computer needs to be on and the Claude app needs to be open for scheduled tasks to run. If your computer is off at the scheduled time, the task runs when you open the app next.
Step 8: Start Using It
That is it. You are set up. Here are some things you can say to it right now:

Common Questions
I do not see Cowork in the sidebar
Make sure you are using the desktop app (not the website at claude.ai) and that you have a Pro plan. Update the app to the latest version if needed.
Claude says it cannot access my browser
Cowork needs permission to use your computer. When Claude asks for computer use permission the first time, click Allow. You can also check permissions in the Claude app settings.
My scheduled task did not run
Your computer needs to be turned on and the Claude app needs to be open for scheduled tasks to run. If your computer was off, the task will run when you open the app.
It posted something wrong to my GBP
You can set it to ask for approval before posting. Just tell Claude: "Always show me posts before publishing and wait for my OK."
I hit my usage limit
Claude Pro has a monthly usage cap. Marketing tasks use more tokens than regular chat. If you hit limits often, consider upgrading to Max ($100/mo) for 20x more usage.
Can I use this with ChatGPT instead?
No. This plugin only works with Claude. ChatGPT does not have computer use or the plugin system that makes this work.
